How To Achieve Efficiency Down To The Millisecond

While I do enjoy listening to some Internet business personalities speak, sometimes I can’t help but laugh at the things they say sometimes.

For example, I watched a short clip of Gary Vee saying that he swallows every piece of gum he chews, and he does this because he doesn’t want to take that 1/100 of a second to spit that gum on a napkin.

All I can say is, if gum really does stay in your stomach for seven years, then he’s going to have serious stomach issues in the future.

Jokes aside, I do think that’s a bit extreme when it comes to being efficient with your time.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad thing to find ways to be more efficient.

I can understand wearing the same clothes everyday so you don’t waste time and energy deciding what to wear every morning. I know Zuckerberg does that, and I believe Steve Jobs did the same.

I can understand eating the same meals everyday too. I personally have been eating the same breakfast for as long as I can remember, which I’m surprised I haven’t gotten sick of. Sometimes I eat the same lunch too.

And even though it may sound crazy, I even tried to be efficient when it came to things like commuting to school and previous jobs.

I’d look for the best commuting routes, down to the best time to leave my house and the best place to stand on the subway platforms.

I like to think of it as a fun game, but when I told some of my friends about this, they looked at me like I was insane.

Oh well, what can I do?

But compared to myself, Gary Vee is on a whole ‘nother level of efficiency.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t even bother going to the bathroom and just pees in a bottle.

So props to him for achieving efficiency down to the millisecond.

I have yet to find maximum efficiency when it comes to writing emails, which is fine. All good things take time.

But it all starts at the foundation, which you can learn more about here:
